When the team loses the ball, these defenders must drop back quickly to maintain compactness and protect the central area.

The midfield uses a combination of three players to connect the defense to the attack. Richard and Moisés sit in the deeper roles to shield the back four and break up play through tackles and interceptions. Roberto operates as an attacking ten, playing just ahead of them to find pockets of space and break the line with through balls. This trio works to control the tempo, with Moisés and Richard providing the platform for Roberto to drive forward and create chances.

In the attacking third, the team utilizes three attackers to stretch the play. Antony leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and bring others into play. On the wings, Jeyson and César provide width and look to cut inside to threaten the goal. Jeyson and César press the opposition full backs high up the pitch to force turnovers near the goal. This movement creates various passing lanes for the midfielders to exploit.

This formation offers several tactical advantages, such as the ability to create wide overloads when Denilson and Marc overlap the wingers. The presence of Roberto in the hole allows the team to find numerical superiority in the central zones. Additionally, the high position of Jeyson and César helps the team press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play from the back.
