Varbergs BoIS utilizes a 4-3-3 formation designed for high pressing and verticality. This formation allows the team to attack with intent by pushing numbers forward and forcing the opposition into mistakes high up the pitch. The lineup is built to win the ball back quickly and transition straight into attacking moves to catch defenders out of position.

Asake operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a flat back four with Garrimix and Riot playing as the wide defenders. Garrimix provides width by looking to overlap, while Riot can move inside to help the central area. In the heart of the defense, Rattie and Big Senzie provide the cover, with Rattie acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks from the back. This unit must stay compact to prevent long balls from breaking the line.

The midfield functions with a three man formation that connects the defense to the forward line. Fatoskie and Choma Pele occupy the central roles, where they work to intercept passes and shield the back four. Kapril plays as an attacking ten, occupying the space between the opposition midfield and defense to create chances. This three man group helps Varbergs BoIS control the tempo and move the ball through the middle of the pitch.

Up front, the team employs three attackers to stretch the opposition. Robbinho leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and lead the press. Bebeto and Amos operate as wide wingers, with Bebeto looking to cut inside from the left and Amos looking to use his pace on the right wing. Their movement pulls defenders apart, creating space for Kapril to push into the box or for the midfielders to make runs from deep.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build play from the back. The team can also create wide overloads when Garrimix and Riot push forward alongside the wingers. This presence on the flanks forces the opposing defense to shift constantly, which can leave gaps in the center for Robbinho to exploit.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high intensity and quick transitions to dominate games. It is best suited for facing teams that play a slow build up and struggle to handle direct, vertical attacking movements.
