Fenerbahçe utilizes a 2-5-3 formation that aims to dominate the center of the pitch. Berke plays between the posts to launch attacks from deep. Behind the midfield, Škriniar acts as one of the two central defenders, using his aerial strength and ability to intercept passes to hold the line. He and his partner must step up aggressively to support the high press, which leaves significant space behind them if the first wave of pressure fails. The defensive unit must remain compact and communicate constantly to prevent long balls from breaking the line.

The midfield is the engine room, using a five man block to clog passing lanes. Kante sits in the middle to shield the defense, relying on his high pressing intensity and ability to tackle to disrupt play. Semedo and Archie Brown operate on the left and right of this central trio to connect the defense to the attack. Guendouzi and Asensio push higher into attacking roles, looking to create chances by driving into pockets of space. This heavy midfield presence allows the team to dictate play and move the ball through the center.

In front of the midfield, the attack consists of three players. Kerem occupies the left wing to cut inside and threaten the goal, while the right winger and the lone striker provide central and wide presence. The forwards are tasked to press the opposition backline, forcing mistakes and turnovers. This formation relies on the strikers to hold up the ball and wait for the late runs from Guendouzi or Asensio to arrive in the box.

One major tactical advantage is the numerical superiority in the midfield, which makes it very hard for opponents to play through the center. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the five midfielders and three attackers to suffocate the opposition.
