CAULY operates in a more advanced role as an attacking ten to connect the midfield to the forward line. CAULY looks to break the line with through balls and drive the play forward. This trio works to maintain compactness to prevent opponents from playing through the middle.

The attack features two strikers, ANDRÉ SILVA and ARTUR. ANDRÉ SILVA plays as the primary target man to hold up the ball and bring others into play, while ARTUR uses his pace to run into channels. They press the opposition defenders to force mistakes and quick turnovers. The movements of the two forwards create space for the midfielders to join the attack and for the wing backs to overlap.

São Paulo gains a significant advantage through numerical superiority in the defensive third, making it very hard for teams to find space between the lines.
