On the flanks, McGeady and Kokorin provide the necessary width, with McGeady looking to cut inside or cross while Kokorin moves between the lines to link play.

In the final third, the team utilizes two forwards to stretch the opposition defense. Schurlle plays as a lone striker in a more central role, tasked with holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Luiz Adriano operates as a second striker, often making runs into the channels to exploit gaps. This front two must press aggressively to force turnovers high up the pitch, allowing the massive midfield to recycle possession or launch immediate attacks.
