Tsygankov, who is the captain, plays as an inverted winger on the right and will cut inside to shoot or play through the lines. Saviolo stays wide on the left to stretch the defence. The team looks to break quickly and hit in behind on the transition when they win possession.

This formation offers significant speed of transition and the ability to create wide overloads. When Pina and Cabral push forward, they create extra numbers alongside Tsygankov and Saviolo.
