Qatar focuses on a high press and plays vertically to overwhelm the opposition in the final third. The team stays aggressive and hunts for the ball high up the pitch to create immediate scoring chances through direct play. This is achieved through a 4-2-4 formation.

Barsham sits in goal to organize a flat back four. Al Amin plays as the left back and Al Oui operates as the right back. Both wide defenders must be ready to track back and cover the space when the team loses the ball. In the heart of the defence, Lucas Mendes and Pedro Miguel form the central pairing. Lucas Mendes works to cover the space and sweep behind the line, while Pedro Miguel uses his strength to win the header and clear the lines.

The midfield is a double pivot consisting of Boudiaf and Madibo. These two must cover enormous amounts of ground to bridge the gap between the defence and the attack. Madibo sits deeper to shield the defence and win the second ball. Boudiaf carries the ball forward to link the play and progress through the thirds. They must work together to squeeze the space in the middle and prevent the opponent from playing through the lines.

Up front, the attack is very heavy with four players. Afif plays on the left and likes to cut inside to create goal threats. Edmilson Junior stays wide on the right to stretch the defence and pull defenders away from the middle. In the center, Al-Haidos and Ali act as a strike partnership. They work to combine in tight spaces and make runs in behind the opposition line. This front four will press from the front to force the opposition into mistakes.

The primary strength of this lineup is the ability to create wide overloads and central chaos. By having four attackers, Qatar can overwhelm the opposition back line. The team also benefits from a high speed of transition. When the ball is won, the players move quickly to hit in behind on the transition. This makes them very dangerous when the opponent is caught out of position.

This 4-2-4 formation is a high risk and high reward lineup. It is best used when playing against opponents who struggle to defend against heavy pressure and quick breaks.
