Timber and Calafiori provide width, with Calafiori often tucking in to help the central defenders while Timber stays high to support the flank. This unit maintains a high line to keep the distance between the defense and the midfield small.

The midfield functions as a five man unit that sits in a narrow block to deny passing lanes. Rice acts as the primary shield for the defense, sitting deep to protect the center. L-Skelly works alongside Rice to provide extra cover, while Rogers and Barcola occupy the half spaces to connect the play. Saka occupies the right side of this midfield bank, driving forward to link with the attack. This group aims to recycle possession and press in pairs to force turnovers in the middle third.

Havertz leads the line as a lone striker, acting as a focal point for the attack. He is tasked with holding up the ball and bringing others into play. Saka and Barcola move into advanced positions to support him, often cutting inside to create goal scoring chances. The team relies on quick combinations and runs in behind to break the defensive line. When pressing, Havertz leads the charge to force the opposition back toward their own goal.

One major advantage for Arsenal is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it difficult for opponents to build out from the back.
