In the center of the pitch, a double pivot provides the only protection for the defense. Fabinho and Danilo Santos act as the engine room. Fabinho uses his passing range to recycle possession and find the attackers quickly. Danilo Santos works to intercept passes and win the second ball in front of the back four. Together, they must protect the space between the lines and ensure they do not get bypassed by central runners.

The attacking unit is designed to overwhelm the opposition. Raphinha and L. Henrique occupy the wide areas, where they look to cut inside to create chances. In the middle, Cunha and Endrick lead the line as a strike partnership. Cunha can hold up the ball to allow others to move forward, while Endrick uses his pace to hit in behind on the transition. This front four presses from the front to trigger a press higher up the pitch, making it difficult for the opponent to build play comfortably.

A primary strength of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads and central presence simultaneously. When the wingers move inside, it creates space for the full backs to overlap. The combination of two strikers makes it very difficult for opposition centre backs to mark everyone. This lineup allows Brazil to strike with immense speed during transitions, catching teams before they can set their defensive block.
