The front line operates with three attackers. G. Ramos works as the central striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Leão and J. Félix act as wide attackers who look to cut inside into the half spaces. Leão uses his dribbling style to isolate wide players in one on one situations. When the Red Devils win the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition, with Leão and J. Félix making runs in behind to receive long passes.

This formation provides significant tactical advantages, especially through wide overloads. When Cancelo and Guerreiro push forward, they create numerical superiority against the opposition full backs.
