Murillo works as an attacking wing back on the right to provide width, and Sessegnon or Rıdvan operate as the left wing back to push up the flank. This defensive block can sit deep or step up to catch opponents offside.

The midfield consists of a two-man midfield pairing to control the center. Orkun or Olaitan operates as the right central midfielder to carry the ball forward and connect the lines. Brandt plays as the left central midfielder, using his passing range to find teammates in tight spaces. This duo must work hard to compress the midfield and press in a mid-block when the ball is lost. They are responsible for shielding the back five and ensuring the team does not get bypassed in the middle.

In the attacking third, Besiktas utilizes three attackers across the front to pin the last defender. Musa Barrow or Aral Şimşir plays on the left wing to stretch the play, while Greenwood or Cerny operates on the right wing to cut inside and create chances. Lukaku or Tel leads the line as a pressing centre-forward. The forwards aim to make runs in behind and look to receive the ball in combinations.
