Inter relies on a heavy defensive presence and quick transitions in a 5-2-3. This formation is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before hitting teams on the break. Inter aims to keep a compact block to make it difficult for opponents to play through the middle.

The goalkeeper remains the last line of defense behind a back five. The central defensive unit features a central defender flanked by a left centre back and a right centre back to secure the zone. Poxmelator operates as an attacking wing back on the left side to provide width and track back when needed. On the right side, the right wing back pushes up to support the attack while maintaining defensive duties. The back line works as a single unit to squeeze the space and defend zonally.

The midfield functions as a double pivot with two central midfielders. Undertaker works in the right central midfield role to shield the defense and win the second ball. Fishy occupies the left central midfield position to help connect the defensive line to the attacking trio. Together, they try to intercept passes and recycle possession to the wide areas. This pairing must be disciplined to prevent the opposition from finding space between the lines.

In the attacking third, the team uses three attackers across the front. Rekro acts as a lone striker to hold up the ball and lead the press from the front. Sadicks plays as an inverted winger on the left, cutting inside to create goalscoring chances. Xvv occupies the right wing position to stretch the defense and provide width. This front three works in combinations to break the line and find runs in behind the opposition back line.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to stay compact when defending in a low block. The wide players and wing backs allow the team to create wide overloads during transitions. Inter can also use the speed of the front three to counter at pace once the midfield recovers the ball. This creates a difficult situation for opponents who push too high up the pitch.

This formation is designed to be a defensively solid unit that relies on rapid transitions. It is best suited for matches against teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their defense.
