JULIAN and DAYYAAN serve as wide centre-backs to help defend the wide areas and step into midfield to help progress the ball. VORTEX and VIAN act as attacking wing backs to provide width and track back to form a narrow defensive block. This unit works together to hold the line and deny space in the box.

The midfield consists of a three-man unit to control the central zone. JAMA, the captain, plays in the right central midfield role to shield the defence and win the second ball. TROY occupies the left central midfield position to carry the ball forward and connect the lines. UMAR operates as an attacking ten behind the strikers to find space in the pockets and play through the lines. This group works to squeeze the space and prevent opponents from playing between the units.

The attack is led by two forwards working in a partnership. GIO plays as a left striker to hold up the ball and link play, while ETHAN acts as a right striker to make runs in behind the defence. GIO and ETHAN press from the front to force a long ball and win it back high up the pitch. The width comes from the overlapping runs of VORTEX and VIAN who aim to get to the byline and deliver early crosses. When the team wins the ball, the strikers look to receive on the half-turn and break quickly toward the goal.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, such as compactness when defending in a low block. By having five players in the back line, Sweden can easily protect the middle and force the opposition to play wide. Another strength is the ability to create wide overloads. The wing backs can overlap the attackers to pin the last defender and create crossing opportunities. The team also benefits from the ability to play through the lines once the midfield wins possession.
