Up front, the team utilizes three attackers to pressure the opposition back line. Arnautovic plays as a target man to hold up the ball and provide a focal point. Moving from the right, Sabitzer often cuts inside to create chances with his passing range. R. Schmid stays wide on the left to stretch the defence. This attacking trio works to create runs in behind and use combinations in tight spaces to split the defence with a through ball.
