Levadeiakos focuses on a compact defensive identity. The team plays a 4-5-1 formation designed to sit deep and absorb pressure. This lineup is built to play a counter attacking style of football. The primary goal is to deny space between the lines and force the opposition to play wide.

In goal, Lodigin acts as the last line of defence. The team defends with a flat back four. Magnusson and Liagas serve as the two central defenders, looking to win the header and clear the lines. Vichos and Tsapras operate as the full backs. They often drop back to maintain a low block when under pressure. The defensive unit works to hold the line and defend zonally to ensure the opposition cannot find gaps in the middle.

The midfield consists of five players working to squeeze the space. Chokaj and Kosti act as a double pivot to shield the defence. They focus on winning the second ball and intercepting passes. Pedrozo, Palacios, and Verbic occupy the remaining roles. Verbic and Pedrozo work to connect the defensive and attacking lines by receiving the ball and trying to find the feet of the striker. Palacios provides extra cover in the central areas to deny the pivot of the opposition.

The attack is led by a lone striker, Ozbolt. He acts as a target man who can hold up the ball and lay it off to oncoming runners. The attacking movements are designed to create runs in behind. When Levadeiakos wins the ball, they look to hit in behind on the transition. Verbic and Palacios can push up to support Ozbolt, allowing the team to attack in combinations or rely on Ozbolt to win the header.

One major advantage of this formation is the compactness when defending in a mid block. The five midfielders and four defenders make it very difficult for opponents to pass through the lines. Another strength is the ability to break quickly once the ball is recovered. The team uses the width provided by the midfield players to stretch the defence during a counter. This creates opportunities to whip it in to the box or find Ozbolt in space.

This 4-5-1 lineup is built for a resilient defensive performance. It is best suited for games against teams that control possession, allowing Levadeiakos to sit deep and strike on the break.
