Türkiye looks to play with a vertical identity using a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to exploit transitions and create high pressure in the final third. The goal for the national team is to use quick passing to move the ball forward through the lines and catch the opposition out of position.

Ugurcan Cakir sits between the posts to command his area. The back three consists of Samet Akaydin, Ozan Kabak, and Abdülkerim B. as a central unit. Ozan Kabak acts as the middle man in this trio, while Samet Akaydin and Abdülkerim B. provide width to the defensive line. They defend zonally and work to squeeze the space between the defensive and midfield lines. The central defenders are expected to win the header and clear the lines when under heavy pressure to prevent long balls from becoming dangerous.

In front of the defense, Türkiye employs a midfield with two deep players and two advanced players. Arda Güler and Can Uzun sit in the pivot to protect the back three, with Arda Güler acting as a creator who can pass through the lines. These two work to win the second ball and recycle possession when the team is under pressure. Baris Alper and Ferdi Kadioglu push higher to act as wide midfielders, connecting the defense to the attack. They are tasked to carry the ball forward and occupy the half spaces to help the team progress through the thirds.

The attacking unit utilizes three forwards to stretch the defence. Kenan Yildiz and Yunus Akgün play as wide attackers, with Kenan Yildiz often looking to cut inside to create goal threats. Deniz Gül operates as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of the oncoming midfielders. The wingers are expected to press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. This formation creates many opportunities for runs in behind and allows the wide players to isolate opponents in one on one situations.

One major advantage of this formation is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having three attackers and two advanced midfielders, Türkiye can trigger a press to win it back high up the pitch. Another strength is the flexibility to create wide overloads when Ferdi Kadioglu and Baris Alper push up to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking half and forces the opposition to pull defenders out of position.

The 3-4-3 formation provides Türkiye with a potent attacking setup built on speed and pressure. This setup is best suited for matches against teams that play a high line and can be caught on the transition.
