Inter aims to play a direct and vertical style of football through a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the second ball and strike quickly when transitions occur. The team looks to sit deep and wait for the opposition to commit men forward before hitting them in behind.

Neko operates in goal to organize the back five. Poxmelator acts as the central defender to anchor the unit and win headers. Kmix and the RCB cover the space to the left and right, while NK and Itonzo act as attacking wing backs to provide width. These wide defenders must track back to form a narrow defensive block when the team loses the ball. The defenders work to keep a compact shape and deny the turn to any oncoming attackers.

The midfield consists of a double pivot to protect the central zone. Undertaker works to shield the defence and win possession in the middle third. The LCM must connect the defensive and attacking lines by receiving the ball and playing through the lines. This pair is responsible to press in a mid-block and prevent the opposition from playing short from the back. They must also stay close together to compress the midfield when the opponent tries to spread wide.

Inter uses three attackers to stretch the defence. The lone striker works to hold up the ball and pin the last defender to create space. Rekro and Xvv play as inverted wingers who cut inside to attack the near post or find the feet of the striker. These wide players must press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. When the team carries the ball forward, the wing backs like Itonzo overlap the winger to provide crossing options.

This formation offers strong defensive compactness when sitting in a low block. It allows Inter to create wide overloads when NK and Itonzo push high up the pitch. The team can also use the speed of transition to catch opponents out of position. Having three attackers allows the side to pin the opposition back and force them into mistakes.

The 5-2-3 formation provides Inter with a solid base to defend against heavy possession teams. It is best suited for games where the team needs to absorb pressure and counter at pace.
