This team utilizes a 5-2-3 formation to maintain a compact defensive block. The goal is to squeeze the space in the middle and then spread wide quickly once the ball is won. This lineup allows Inter to stay organized while waiting for the right moment to move forward.
Neko sits in goal to command the area and clear the lines. The defense works as a back five with Poxmelator acting as the central defender to win the header and protect the middle. Kmix and the right center back form a zonal line to defend the box. Itenzo plays as a left wing back to overlap the winger and provide width, while NK works as a right wing back to push up and cross on the run. The whole unit will drop into a low block to deny the turn of any attacking midfielder.
In the center of the pitch, Undertaker and Hiyar's friend form a two man midfield. Undertaker will carry the ball forward to drive the team into the final third. Hiyar's friend acts to shield the defense and pick up runners in front of the back line. They must work together to win the second ball and recycle possession to keep the rhythm. This pair connects the defense to the attack by playing short from the back and progressing through the thirds.
The attack features three players across the front. Rekro acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and link up with the wingers. Xvv plays on the right and will cut inside to create overloads in the half spaces. The left winger will pull wide to stretch the defence and provide a target for crosses. The front line will press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition and win it back high up the pitch.
Inter gains a huge advantage from the wide overloads created by NK and Itenzo. The formation also allows the team to stay compact when defending, making it hard for opponents to play through the lines. The speed of transition allows the team to hit in behind on the transition using the movement of the front three.
This 5-2-3 lineup is built to absorb pressure and strike with precision. It is best used against teams that like to keep the ball and play high up the pitch.
