Piast relies on a high press and verticality through a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and strike quickly before the opposition can settle. Holec stays between the posts to command the area and organize the defensive unit. The back four functions as a flat back four that can step up to squeeze the space. Twumasi acts as an attacking full back to provide width, while Lewicki provides balance on the left. In the center, Juande and Drapiński form the defensive line, with Juande acting as a ball playing defender to help play out from the back. Drapiński focuses on winning the header and covering space behind the high line to maintain a compact shape.

The midfield operates with a three-man midfield with a carrier. Leśniak and Łabojko occupy the central roles to press in a mid-block and win the second ball. Boisgard plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, acting as the creative link to progress through the thirds. Leśniak works to shield the defence, while Łabojko looks to carry the ball forward into the half-spaces. Boisgard waits to receive on the half-turn to split the defence with a through ball.

Piast utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the defence. Katsantonis acts as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and lead the hunt for the ball. Lokilo and Vallejo operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. These wingers often pull wide to spread the play before looking to drive into the box. The team builds play through quick combinations and looks to hit in behind on the transition to catch the opposition out of position.

One major advantage for Piast is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, forcing the opponent into mistakes near their own goal. The formation also creates wide overloads when the full backs join the attack, leaving Lokilo or Vallejo in one on one situations. This movement makes it difficult for the opposing side to track the runners coming from deep.
