Starting Lineup

In goal, KOVÁR acts as the first line of distribution. The defensive unit uses a back three featuring HRANÁC in the center. HOLES plays as the right center back and provides cover while KREJCÍ operates as the left center back. This back three functions to hold the line and defend zonally. When the team plays out from the back, these defenders look to find the midfielders to begin the build up.

The midfield operates as a four man unit with COUFAL and DOUDERA providing width. COUFAL works on the right flank to help the attack while DOUDERA handles the left. In the center, SADÍLEK and CERV form a double pivot to control the middle. SADÍLEK often works to drive forward with the ball, while CERV stays closer to the center to shield the defense and recycle possession. This group connects the defensive unit to the front three.

The attacking line consists of three players pushing high against the opposition back line. HLOZEK acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and engage the defenders. On the flanks, VISINSKY and SULC operate as wide attackers. VISINSKY tends to cut inside to find space, while SULC stays wide to provide crosses. They press from the front to force a long ball from the defenders. The goal is to use runs in behind to exploit space behind the opposition defense.

Czechia gains a significant advantage through wide overloads when COUFAL and DOUDERA push up to overlap the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the final third. The team also benefits from a strong ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it hard for opponents to play out from the back.
