Gornji Rahic Football Formation
Starting Lineup
Edin (Dzeko) · Kerim (Alajbegovic) · Esmir (Bajraktarević) · Ermin (Mahmić) · Ivan (Basić) · Benjamin (Tahirovic) · Sead (Kolasinac) · Tarik (Muharemović) · Nikola (Katić) · Amar (Dedić) · Nikola (Vasilj)Gornji Rahic plays a high press game using a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and move the play forward with speed. The intent is to squeeze the space and catch the opposition in transition through quick vertical movements.
Nikola guards the goal as the goalkeeper. The back line operates as a flat back four with Amar at right back and Sead at left back. Nikola and Tarik act as the two central defenders to hold the line. Amar and Sead are expected to push up to provide width while Tarik and Nikola stay back to cover the space behind them and defend zonally.
The midfield uses a three man midfield with a carrier and two players operating in the half spaces. Ermin sits in the middle to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Benjamin and Ivan play as the inverted eight roles to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively. This group works to compress the midfield and ensure the team can recycle possession effectively when playing short from the back.
The attacking line features three attackers across the front. Edin leads the line as a pressing centre forward to force long balls from the opposition. Kerim and Esmir play as wide wingers who cut inside to create more central presence. These three work together to split the defence with through balls and make runs in behind the opposition back line.
Gornji Rahic gains a major advantage through the ability to press high in coordinated waves. This formation also creates wide overloads when Amar and Sead overlap the winger. The team can quickly transition from a mid-block to an attacking position to exploit gaps in the opponent.
This 4-3-3 formation focuses on high intensity pressing and quick transitions. It is best suited for games against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
