The attacking unit features three players across the front to create immediate threats. Меткалов operates as a pressing centre-forward, working to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for his teammates. Аревало and Бажухин play as wide wingers who aim to isolate opponents in one on one situations. They look to get to the byline and deliver crosses into the box for Меткалов. The formation encourages the wingers to pull wide to stretch the defense, creating gaps for the midfielders to arrive late into the box.
