Akron relies on a quick transition game built around a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup is designed to absorb pressure and strike with pace when they win the ball back. The team focuses on being hard to break down while using the width of the pitch to stretch opponents during attacks.

Тереховский sits between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back five consists of Хосонов in the center, with Хаметов acting as a ball playing defender on the left and Эсковаль covering the right. The wing backs, Мамашев and Ведерников, are tasked with providing the team width. While they push up to support the attack, they must track back quickly to form a narrow defensive block when the opposition holds possession. The three central defenders aim to win the second ball and clear the lines whenever the opposition sends long balls into the box.

The midfield functions as a double pivot to protect the defensive unit. Платон and Холодов work to shield the defense and break the lines with vertical passes. One of them acts as a carrier to drive forward with the ball, while the other focuses on recycling possession and connecting the defensive and attacking lines. They must work to compress the midfield and prevent opponents from playing through the center.

Up front, Akron uses three attackers to pin the opposition back line. Меткалов acts as the central striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Аревало and Бажухин play as wide wingers who look to cut inside and create chances in the half spaces. They press from the front to force a long ball and create space for the wing backs to overlap. The goal is to use combinations in tight spaces to catch the defense out of position.

This formation offers significant advantages through its defensive solidity and ability to counter at pace. Akron can achieve wide overloads when Мамашев and Ведерников push high to support the wingers. The presence of three central defenders provides extra security against crosses and helps the team stay compact when defending a lead.

Akron uses this five man defense to remain defensively solid while remaining a threat on the break. This formation is best suited for games against teams that dominate possession and leave space behind their high defensive line.
