Talleres Football Formation
Starting Lineup
LACUADRA · AMARILLO · OJEDA · AVALOS · MIÑO · SAUCEDO · VERA · PAMPILLON · TARDITO · MORALES · BARBATalleres relies on a high intensity and vertical style of play to overwhelm opponents. The team operates in a 4-2-4 formation. This lineup is built to press the opposition and quickly move the ball into the final third to exploit gaps in the defense.
LACUADRA sits between the posts to manage the defensive line. The back four consists of AMARILLO at right back, OJEDA and AVALOS as the central defenders, and MIÑO at left back. The defenders aim to hold a high line to keep the team compact. OJEDA and AVALOS must be ready to cover the space behind the full backs if the team is caught on the break. AMARILLO and MIÑO provide width and can push forward to support the attack, but they must track back quickly to prevent being isolated in wide areas.
In the middle of the pitch, the team uses a double pivot consisting of SAUCEDO and VERA. This midfield pairing is tasked with controlling the tempo and connecting the defense to the front line. SAUCEDO works to shield the defense and intercept passes, while VERA looks to carry the ball forward and play through the lines. They must work hard to squeeze the space in the center to prevent the opposition from bypassing the midfield too easily.
The attacking unit is heavily populated with four players. PAMPILLON and TARDITO occupy the wide areas as wingers, looking to pull wide and deliver crosses. In the center, MORALES and BARBA operate as a central striking partnership. This formation allows the team to attack in combinations and use the two forwards to pin the last defender. PAMPILLON and TARDITO can also cut inside to create space for the full backs to overlap. The goal is to hit in behind on the transition and use the movement of MORALES and BARBA to cause chaos in the box.
One major advantage for Talleres is the ability to press high in coordinated waves with four attackers. This forces the opposition to play long balls which the back four can then win. Another strength is the numerical superiority in the attacking third, which can overwhelm a standard four man defense. The team can also use the speed of transition to catch opponents out of position before they can set their defensive block.
This formation is designed for heavy attacking and high pressure. It is best suited for matches where the team needs to break down a deep defense or when playing against opponents that struggle with high intensity.
