Konè has the ability to drive forward with the ball and press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch. This pairing connects the defensive and attacking lines by moving the ball quickly to the front three.

The attacking front line consists of three players. Malen leads the line as a lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Greenwood plays as an inverted winger on the left and looks to cut inside to create goal scoring chances. Soulè or Pellegrini occupies the right wing to either pull wide or attack the near post. To create wide overloads, Wesley and Angelinho overlap the wingers and deliver crosses into the box.

A major tactical advantage for Roma is the compactness when defending in a low block. The back five makes it difficult for opponents to find gaps between the lines.
