This trio functions as a zonal line that can push up to squeeze the space or drop into a low block when needed.

The midfield uses a wide central pairing to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Rabiot works to shield the defence and press aggressively to win the ball, while Modrić uses his passing range to create from deep and drive forward with the ball. Alexis and Araújo operate as wide midfielders, providing width and tracking back to support the defenders. These four players work together to control the center of the pitch and switch play to the flanks.

Milan utilizes three attackers to stretch the defence. Pulisic and Kang-in Lee Lee play as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal scoring chances. G.
