JS operates between the posts to organize the defensive unit. Behind him, a back three consisting of Evan, George, and Tyler? acts as a solid wall. Marcus and Bruno occupy the central roles, with Bruno acting to connect the defensive and attacking lines. The team uses the wide players, Bdon on the left and Brad on the right, as wing backs to stretch the defence. Bdon and Brad must track back to help the defenders while also providing width when the team carries the ball forward.

In the final third, Salford uses two forwards in a partnership to pin the last defender. Lux and Ellis lead the line, working together to create runs in behind. Lux often looks to hold up the ball, allowing Ellis to find space between the lines. This duo can either work in combination to play a one-two or use the wide players to receive cutbacks from the byline. The attacking movement is designed to isolate defenders in one on one situations or force a long ball through quick combinations.

This formation offers Salford several tactical advantages, particularly the ability to create numerical superiority in midfield.
