Arshavin works to connect the defensive line to the attack, while Sergia helps to shield the defense and recycle possession. These two midfielders must work hard to compress the midfield and prevent the opposition from playing through the center. They are responsible for winning the second ball and quickly finding the forwards once possession is regained.

In the attacking phase, Dinamo Moscow uses three attackers to stretch the opposition.
