Leeds focuses on a direct and high pressing game using a 3-4-3 formation. The lineup is built to win the ball back high up the pitch and use quick transitions to hurt the opposition. Gudmundsson operates as a wide midfielder on the left, tasked to track back and support the defense while providing width. Bogle works on the right flank, often looking to carry the ball forward to join the attack. This pairing in the middle allows the team to recycle possession and find ways to break the line.

Up front, Leeds utilizes three attackers to pin the opposition back line. Calvert-Lewin acts as a pressing centre-forward and target man, using his physical presence to hold up the ball. Wilson plays as an inverted winger on the left, looking to cut inside and create chances. Tanaka stays wide on the right to stretch the defense and deliver crosses.
