The back line works to squeeze the space and keep the distances between players short.

The midfield operates with a three man midfield with a carrier. Klok sits in the central role to shield the defence and win the second ball. Luciano plays as an inverted eight to connect the defensive and attacking lines, using his passing range to find teammates. Berg plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to create chances and arrive late into the box. This midfield unit works to compress the midfield and ensure they always have passing options to recycle possession.

In the attacking phase, Persib uses three attackers across the front. Tanque acts as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and hold up the ball for others. Beckham plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside and create, while Barros stays wide on the right to stretch the defence. The attackers work to hit in behind on the transition and use quick combinations to break the line of the opposition. Beckham and Barros often look to receive on the half-turn to move the ball forward quickly.
