Starting Lineup

Rhaka · Kevin · Hamra · Ikhwan · Dedi · Nazriel · Athaya · Adam · Adzikry · Saddil · Dion

Persib prefers a direct style of play built on high intensity and verticality through a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup focuses on winning the ball high up the pitch to catch opponents out of position. The team looks to push forward quickly once they regain control to exploit spaces behind the opposition defense.

Rhaka acts as the last line of defense in goal. The back line consists of a narrow defensive block with Hamra sitting as the central defender to command the area. Kevin and Dion play as the wide centre-backs, where they must cover the space behind the midfield when the team pushes high. They work together to protect the middle and ensure the team can play out from the back. The unit aims to stay compact to deny the turn to any incoming attackers.

In the middle of the pitch, Persib utilizes a four man midfield that connects the defense to the attack. Dedi and Nazriel operate as a double pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. While one of them stays back to protect the center, the other can drive forward with the ball to carry it into the final third. Athaya and Adzikry act as the wide players, providing much needed width and stretching the defence. They are tasked to track back when defending and press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch.

The attacking line uses three attackers to pin the last defender and create chaos. Saddil leads the line as a pressing centre-forward, looking to find the feet of the striker or knock it in behind. Adam and Ikhwan operate as wide attackers, with Adam cutting inside from the left and Ikhwan looking to get to the byline on the right. They create many chances through combinations in tight spaces or by making runs in behind the defense. This attacking group works to isolate wide players in one on one situations during quick transitions.

One major advantage for Persib is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which forces long balls from the opposition. The formation also offers wide overloads when Athaya and Adzikry push up to support the wingers. This creates numerical superiority in the attacking half and makes it difficult for the opposition to defend the half spaces.

This 3-4-3 formation relies on high energy and quick transitions to break down opponents. It is best suited for games where the team can exploit a high defensive line through speed.
