Aiming to play with high intensity and rapid transitions, VPS utilizes a 5-2-3 formation. This lineup focuses on being defensively solid while looking to strike quickly when the ball is won. The team relies on width and verticality to stretch the opposition.

Fabian Poki艅ski guards the goal as the starting goalkeeper. The defensive unit consists of a back five where Erico Eduardo sits centrally to anchor the line. On either side of him, Trent du Bois and Angelisto Javier operate as wide centre-backs to cover the channels. George Vaxbo and Stanley Clark provide the width as attacking wing backs, ready to push forward and join the attack. This unit aims to stay compact to deny space between the lines.

The midfield works as a double pivot to control the center of the pitch. Tequan Thomas-Johnson and Will Martinez are tasked with holding the position and shielding the defensive line. They must win the second ball and immediately look to find the attackers. This pairing connects the back five to the front three, often dropping deep to help build play from the back or pressing to win the ball back high up the pitch.

In the attacking third, the team uses three attackers to pin the opposition defense. Yamal Mitchell and Guy Cooper act as wide wingers who stay high to provide width and stretch the defense. They look to cut inside or receive the ball in space to deliver crosses. Yohannes Oakley operates as the lone striker, acting as a focal point to hold up the ball and lay it off to his teammates. The attackers press the opposition back line to force errors.

A major advantage for VPS is the ability to create wide overloads through the movements of Stanley Clark and George Vaxbo. When these wing backs push up, they create extra passing lanes and numbers in the final third. Another strength is the compactness when defending, as the five defenders and two midfielders make it very hard for opponents to play through the middle.

This formation is built to absorb pressure and hit teams on the break. It is best suited for matches against dominant sides where the team needs to defend in a low block and exploit space behind the opposition full backs.
