Starting Lineup

Alan (VC) stands between the posts to organize the defense. The back four consists of Mato at right back and Luca at left back. Qusai (C), the captain, leads the center of the defense alongside Erik. Mato and Luca push up to provide width, acting as overlapping full backs. To maintain a high line, Qusai (C) and Erik squeeze the space and win the second ball. They work together to cover the channels and deny the turn to opposing attackers.

The midfield operates to control the center of the pitch. To shield the defense and recycle possession, Vexi and Farooq work in tandem. Alex plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, finding pockets of space to play through the lines. By carrying the ball forward, Vexi and Farooq connect the defensive unit to the attack. Alex also looks to arrive late into the box to support the front three. This group works to press in a mid-block when the ball is lost.

Up front, the attack utilizes three players to stretch the defense. skechy and conrady operate as wide wingers, with skechy often looking to cut inside. 6vrli plays as the central striker, tasked to hold up the ball and pin the last defender. The wingers look to isolate a one on one wide or deliver early crosses. When the team transitions, 6vrli will push the line high while the wingers make runs in behind. Such movement is designed to create cutbacks from the byline.

Inter offers significant advantages through this lineup. Wide overloads are created from overlapping full backs when Mato and Luca push high. There is also a high ability to press high in coordinated waves, led by 6vrli and the advancing midfield. The positioning of Alex allows for numerical superiority in the final third. This makes the team very dangerous when they can find the feet of the striker.
