ZANINETTI operates between the posts to organize the defensive line. The back four functions as a flat defensive line with PINTO and MUÑOZ providing width from the full back positions. The defensive unit works to squeeze the space between the midfield and the back line to ensure no easy passes are found in the channels.

The midfield setup consists of a central three with GUARDIA operating as an attacking ten behind the strikers. LOPEZ and CORONEL sit in the middle to shield the defense and win the second ball, while GARCIA links the play and drives forward with the ball. This grouping allows the team to control the central areas and provides options to recycle possession when the initial attack fails. GUARDIA looks to find space between the lines to create chances for the forwards.

Unión (SF) utilizes two forwards in a partnership to pressure the opposition back line. ALBORNOS and ACEVEDO work together to occupy the two central defenders, often looking to hit in behind on the transition. The attackers are expected to press from the front to force a long ball from the opponent. When the team has the ball, the wingers and full backs look to provide width, creating space for the strikers to combine in tight spaces or run into the channels.
