Georgia focuses on a direct and vertical style of play through a 4-3-3. This formation is built to use width and pace to stretch the opposition defense. The team looks to win the ball and quickly move it forward to exploit gaps in the opponent's lines.

Kereselidze operates between the posts to command the area. The defensive unit plays a flat back four. Kapanadze acts as the right back to provide width, while Giorbelidze plays as the left back to help cover the flank. In the center, Beriashvili and Gelashvili form the pairing tasked to defend zonally and win the second ball. Beriashvili and Gelashvili must hold the line and stay compact to deny runners through the middle.

The midfield consists of a three man unit designed to control the center. Gagnidze and Nonikashvili occupy the central roles to win the ball and recycle possession. Nonikashvili acts as a link to connect the defense to the attack. O.Mamageishvili plays as an attacking ten behind the striker to find pockets of space. He works to receive on the half-turn and play through the lines to find the forwards. This midfield group works to press in a mid-block to force long balls from the opponent.

Georgia employs three attackers to pin the last defender. Kvilitaia acts as the lone striker to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. On the wings, Kvernadze and Odisharia act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goalscoring chances. Their movement creates space for Kapanadze and Giorbelidze to overlap the winger and provide crosses. The forwards press from the front to trigger a press and win it back high up the pitch.

This formation offers the advantage of wide overloads when the full backs push high. Georgia can also use the mobility of the front three to create one on one situations in wide areas. The presence of O.Mamageishvili in the hole allows the team to find numerical superiority in the final third.
