Akçiçek and Hernandez provide width within the back three to cover the spaces left by the wide midfielders. Neves acts as the deep lying playmaker who sits in front of the defense to recycle possession and pick up runners. In the final third, Al-Hilal utilizes two forwards in a partnership to stretch the opposition. Meite plays as a pressing centre forward to force long balls from the opposition defense.
