Y.Bisseck works to cover the space behind the wing backs when they push high. The unit maintains a high line to squeeze the space and keep the distance between the defense and midfield small.

The midfield functions as a dense block designed to overwhelm the center. H.Calhanoglu acts as the deep lying playmaker, looking to switch play and find passes that break the line. D.Ndoye and F.Dimarco provide energy to press aggressively and win the second ball in the middle third. N.Barella works in the half spaces to carry the ball forward and join the attack, while C.Jones provides additional support to link the defensive and attacking lines. This five man unit allows Inter to shift easily between a narrow block and a wide presence.

In the final third, the attack relies on a partnership of two forwards. Lautaro Martinez leads the line as a pressing centre forward who works to pin the last defender. M.Thuram provides runs in behind and uses his pace to exploit gaps in the defense. They combine in tight spaces to create chances, often using wide players like N.Barella or F.Dimarco to provide width. The movement of the two strikers forces the opposition to stay narrow, which opens up passing lanes for the midfielders to arrive late into the box.

Inter gains a significant advantage through numerical superiority in the midfield. This allows them to control the tempo and recycle possession when needed.
