Martínez and Escudero operate as the central defenders, with Martínez focusing on winning the second ball and Escudero providing cover to sweep behind the line. This defensive unit works to hold the line and keep the distance between the back four and the midfield tight to deny space.

A four man midfield manages the center of the pitch. Sosa acts as the single pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. Miljevic and Zaracho play as the two central midfielders, with Miljevic looking to drive forward with the ball and Zaracho working to connect the defensive and attacking lines. Carboni operates in the wide areas or as an additional midfielder to help press in a mid-block and win it back high up the pitch. The midfield unit focuses on squeezing the space to prevent the opposition from playing through the lines.

The attack relies on a partnership of two forwards. Martínez plays as the lone striker up front to hold up the ball and pin the last defender, while Díaz operates as a second striker in the hole to find space between the lines. These two forwards press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. When the team wins the ball, the wingers and full backs push up to support the strike force, looking to deliver early crosses or play one two combinations to break the line.
