Lincoln aims to play with a vertical identity built around a quick transition and a strong presence in the middle of the pitch. This 3-5-2 formation focuses on controlling the central areas while using wide players to stretch the opposition. Jamarz stands between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back three consists of Marcin, Incursio GTR, and Kieran, who maintain a narrow defensive block to protect the center. Marcin and Kieran act as wide centre-backs to cover the channels when the wingbacks push up, while Incursio GTR provides stability in the middle. This group works together to hold the line and win the second ball whenever the opposition attempts to play long.

The midfield is dominated by a three man midfield with a single pivot to protect the back line. Kyle sits deep as the pivot to shield the defence and recycle possession. Fluffy and DS10 operate as the central pair, with Fluffy looking to connect the defensive and attacking lines while DS10 makes late runs into the box. Bozza and Michael act as the wide midfielders, providing the necessary width to support the central core and helping to compress the midfield when the team defends in a mid-block.

Lincoln utilizes two forwards in a partnership to lead the attack. Alex and Kojozi operate as a front two, with Alex often acting as the pressing centre-forward to harass the opposition back line. They combine in tight spaces to pull defenders out of position, looking to play one-two combinations to break the line. The movement of Bozza and Michael allows the team to overlap the winger, creating cutbacks from the byline to find the strikers in central areas.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly in the ability to create numerical superiority in midfield. By having a dense central block, Lincoln can easily win the second ball and control the tempo of the game. The presence of Bozza and Michael also allows for wide overloads, which can isolate wide players in one on one situations and create clear scoring chances through rapid transitions.
