Starting Lineup

They work to recycle possession and protect the central zone. Ahead of them, Nadir and Adeline act as two tens in the half spaces to link the play. Nadir and Adeline drive forward with the ball to connect the defensive unit to the front four. This group must press aggressively to win the ball back high up the pitch.

An aggressive front line uses four attackers to pin the opposition back. Grønbaek and Philippe operate as wide wingers who stay near the touchline to provide width. Grønbaek and Philippe look to get to the byline and deliver early crosses into the box. In the centre, Daka and Poulsen work as a partnership of two forwards. Daka and Poulsen focus on runs in behind and physical presence to harass the opposition back line. The attack is built to create chances through rapid transitions and quick combination play in tight spaces.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through heavy offensive numbers. Hamburg creates wide overloads by using the wingers and the attacking midfielders to pull defenders out of position.
