Ac. Viseu aims to dominate through heavy offensive numbers and high pressure in a 2-5-3 formation. This lineup focuses on aggressive attacking play and high risk, high reward movement to overwhelm the opposition in their own half. The goal is to squeeze the pitch and use the extra bodies in the attacking third to create chaos and win the ball back quickly.

Marcos Lavín plays behind a very shallow defensive line. A.Correia and R. Pereira act as the two central defenders in a back two, which requires them to be alert to long balls and fast attackers. These two must step up to engage attackers early and cover the space behind them to prevent direct runs. Because there are only two players in the back, the unit relies on the midfielders to drop back and help when the opposition breaks.

The midfield acts as the engine for Ac. Viseu, operating in a five man block. Robinho and G. Costa act as a double pivot to shield the two defenders and win the second ball. In front of them, Messeguem and L.Silva occupy the half spaces to link the defense to the attack. Kahraman plays as an attacking ten, looking to find space between the lines and create chances. This midfield group must shift together to block passing lanes and maintain a compact presence when defending.

The attacking front line uses three players to stretch the defense. Mortimer plays as a wide winger on the left, while Á. Zamora stays wide on the right to provide width. A. Clóvis operates as a lone striker, playing to find the feet of the midfielders or making runs in behind. This trio presses the opposition back line from the front to force a long ball. The team looks to play through the lines or use wide players to pull defenders out of position before delivering a cross.

One major advantage of this formation is the numerical superiority in the attacking third. By having five players capable of joining the attack, Ac. Viseu can create wide overloads and force the opposition to defend deep. Another strength is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, using the front three and Kahraman to trigger a press. This constant pressure makes it difficult for opponents to build play from the back.

Ac. Viseu uses this setup to dictate the tempo through high intensity and attacking volume. This formation is best suited for games where the team needs to break down a deep defensive block or force a high tempo against a weaker opponent.
