Starting Lineup

Clown 1 · Clown 2 · Clown 3 · Obeece · Zo · Ceido · Ukraine Bolt · Palmud · Roger · Steve · JP

Chelsea favors a high press and a vertical style of play using a 4-5-1 formation. This lineup is built to squeeze the space in the opposition half and win the ball back high up the pitch. The team aims to move the ball quickly from the middle to the front line to catch the defense before they can settle.

JP guards the goal as the last line of defense. The back four consists of Ukraine Bolt at right back and Steve at left back, both of whom need to track back quickly when possession is lost. In the center, Roger and Palmud form a pairing to defend the area, with Palmud acting as a ball playing defender to start attacks. This defensive unit works to stay compact and hold a high line to keep the team close to the midfield.

The midfield operates as a central block designed to dominate the center of the pitch. Zo and Ceido form a double pivot to shield the defense and protect the center backs. Ahead of them, Obeece and Clown work as inverted eights to link the play and drive forward with the ball. Clown also operates in the hole as an attacking ten to connect the midfield to the striker, helping to win the second ball when the team presses high.

In the attacking phase, the team uses a lone striker, Clown, to lead the line. Clown must work to hold up the ball and find the feet of the oncoming midfielders. The wide players provide width, while the attacking midfielders look to arrive late into the box to support the striker. The team builds attacks through quick combinations in the final third, often looking to hit in behind on the transition.

This Chelsea formation offers several tactical advantages. The double pivot of Zo and Ceido provides a strong base to deny the turn of opposition attackers. By using a five man midfield, the team can create numerical superiority in the center to control the tempo. The high press led by Clown and Clown can also force a long ball from the opposition, allowing the defenders to win the aerial duels.

The 4-5-1 formation provides a solid way to control the central areas while staying dangerous on the break. This setup is best suited for games against teams that prefer to keep possession and struggle against a high press.
