Starting Lineup

Inter focuses on controlling space and dominating transitions through a 3-5-2 formation. This lineup is built to play a direct and vertical game while maintaining a very strong central presence. The attack features two forwards working in a partnership. The LS and RS work together to pin the last defender and create space for the midfielders. They often combine in tight spaces to pull defenders out of position. One striker may drop slightly deeper to link up play, while the other looks to make runs in behind. The formation relies on the wing backs to deliver crosses or cutbacks from the byline to find the strikers in the box.

Inter gains a significant advantage through numerical superiority in the middle of the pitch. The presence of five players in the central and wide midfield areas makes it difficult for opponents to progress the ball. The team also benefits from the ability to shift between a back three and a back five, providing compactness when defending.
