Ferencváros plays with a high energy and vertical style of football intended to overwhelm opponents in their own half. Because the lineup is so high, the wide midfielders must track back to prevent being caught out on the flanks.

The midfield consists of a five man unit that works to control the rhythm of the game. Corbu and Kanichowsky act as a central pairing to shield the defense and progress through the thirds. Lisztes operates as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to receive on the half turn and play through the lines. Cadu and Osvath occupy the wide areas to provide width and help recycle possession. This midfield connects the defense to the attack by winning the second ball and quickly switching play.

The attacking front line features three players designed to pin the opposition back line. Joseph serves as the central figure to hold up the ball and find the feet of his teammates. Dowda and Zachariassen act as wide attackers who often cut inside to create scoring opportunities. The team seeks to attack in combinations, using the movement of Lisztes to draw defenders out of position. This movement creates space for Dowda and Zachariassen to make runs in behind or receive the ball in the half spaces.

One major advantage of this lineup is the numerical superiority in midfield. By packing the center with five players, Ferencváros can easily bypass the opposition central unit. Additionally, the team is capable of pressing high in coordinated waves. The front three and Lisztes work to trigger a press, forcing the opponent to go direct or play long balls that the defense can easily clear.
