Starting Lineup

Hugo works to drive forward with the ball and press in a mid-block when needed. On the flanks, Nicolas and Maik act as wide midfielders. Nicolas occupies the left side to provide width, while Maik operates on the right. These players must track back to help the defense and drop into a defensive block when the team loses possession.

The attacking trio of Isac, Sabino, and Coronel creates constant movement against the back line. Coronel leads the line as a pressing centre-forward, looking to fight for long balls and find the feet of his teammates. Isac plays as an inverted winger on the left, cutting inside to create space for Nicolas to overlap. On the right, Sabino plays as an inverted winger to threaten the box. This front line is designed to run in behind and create one on one situations for the wide attackers.

São Paulo offers significant tactical advantages through their ability to create wide overloads. When Nicolas and Isac push forward together, they pin the opposition full backs. The team also benefits from the speed of transition when they win the ball in the middle third.
