The midfield is a dense block designed to control the center of the pitch. Guendouzi sits as a central anchor to shield the defense and recycle possession. Beside him, Semedo and Oosterwolde provide much needed cover and drive forward with the ball to link the lines. In the half spaces, Kante or Fred press aggressively to win the ball high, while Asensio or Talisca act as creators who can find the feet of the striker or slip passes through the lines. This midfield group works to compress the midfield and deny the opponent any time on the ball.

Fenerbahçe uses three attackers across the front to stretch the defense. Musaba and Greenwood act as wide wingers who can either hug the touchline or cut inside to create overloads. Vedat occupies the central role as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender.
