Gabriel and Jayden play as attacking wing backs, tasked to push high and provide width. Ethan holds the line while Tarik and Joe step up to intercept passes and defend the central zone. This unit works together to squeeze the space and protect the middle.

The midfield functions as a double pivot consisting of Anton and Ao. These two must work hard to cover the ground and protect the back five when the wing backs push forward. Anton and Ao are responsible to win the second ball and recycle possession to the attackers. They connect the defence to the front line by finding the feet of the forwards or playing through the lines to spark a break.

Leeds utilize three attackers across the front line to pin the opposition back. Dominic acts as the pressing centre-forward to lead the hunt for the ball, while Harry and Noah operate as wide wingers who look to cut inside. Harry and Noah want to isolate defenders one on one or get to the byline to deliver crosses. The front three press in pairs to force a long ball, allowing the back five to win the header and restart the attack.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages through wide overloads created by Jayden and Gabriel. By using five defenders, Leeds maintain compactness when defending and are hard to break down centrally. The speed of transition when Anton or Ao win the ball allows Harry and Noah to exploit space behind the opposition full backs.
