DARONE and SLASH sit on either side as wide centre-backs to cover the space if the wing backs push up. YOUNIS and MINE act as attacking wing backs, tasked to provide width and cross on the run when the team transitions into the final third. The defensive line works as a single unit to maintain compactness and deny the turn to oncoming attackers.

NITRO can work as a pressing centre-forward to force a long ball, while ENZO looks to hold up the ball and lay it off to oncoming runners. The front line is designed to create runs in behind and use the width provided by YOUNIS and MINE to get to the byline. When the team attacks, they aim to play one-two combinations to split the defence with a through ball.

This formation offers the advantage of being defensively solid when sitting in a low block. The side can create wide overloads from overlapping full backs, which forces the opposition to stretch their defensive shape.
