Starting Lineup

NITRO (Juventus) · YOUNIS (Juventus) · SLASH (FC Bayern) · DARONE (Juventus) · SANTACASSY (FC Bayern) · ENZO (FC Bayern) · ROBOCOP (FC Bayern) · MINE (Man City) · ARABIAN (Juventus) · CENGIZ (Atlético) · BURAGH (Atlético)

This team focuses on a heavy defensive presence and rapid transitions through a 5-3-2 formation. The lineup relies on a solid foundation to absorb pressure before hitting the opponent on the break. By sitting deep and compact, the side looks to deny space in the middle and launch direct attacks once the ball is won.

SANTACASSY guards the goal while the back line operates as a narrow defensive block. ARABIAN sits at the heart of the defense to command the area and win the header. To his sides, SLASH and DARONE act as the central defenders, with SLASH providing coverage while DARONE covers the space behind the wide players. MINE and YOUNIS play as attacking wing backs, tasked to provide width and stretch the pitch. These wing backs must track back to help the three center backs when the team drops into a low block to protect the goal.

The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier and creative runners. CENGIZ acts as the left sided runner to press aggressively and win the ball high, while BURAGH works to connect the defensive and attacking lines. ROBOCOP sits in the middle to shield the defense and recycle possession. This group works to compress the midfield when the team is out of possession, making it difficult for the opponent to play through the lines.

A two man partnership leads the attack with ENZO and NITRO operating as the front line. ENZO acts as a pressing centre-forward to disrupt the opposition build up, while NITRO looks to run in behind the defense. The team uses these two to attack in combinations during transition, often looking to hit the opponent in behind. The movement is designed to create runs in behind and allow the wing backs, MINE and YOUNIS, to overlap the winger and deliver crosses into the box.

The formation offers significant tactical advantages through its compactness when defending. By using five defenders, the team creates a wall that is very hard to break down in the box. Another strength is the ability to use the wing backs to create wide overloads once the ball is won, quickly switching play to catch the opponent out of position.

This 5-3-2 lineup is built for teams that want to defend deep and strike with speed. It is best suited for matches against possession heavy opponents where the goal is to deny space and exploit the gaps left by high lines.
