The midfield is a five man group designed to control the tempo. CALHANOGLU sits deep as the primary playmaker to recycle possession and switch play. BARELLA operates in the half spaces to drive forward with the ball and connect the lines. DIMARCO works on the left to provide width and delivery into the box. ZIELINSKI and the player listed as (recrue) provide the engine in the center, with ZIELINSKI looking to arrive late into the box. This midfield trio and pairing work to press in a mid block and win the second ball.
